Connor Kelly

Professional Lacrosse Player- 2018

Growing up in Easton, CT Connor Kelly was a dedicated athlete not only playing lacrosse but also tennis, basketball, football, ice hockey, and soccer. He believes that his participation in many different youth sports helped him gain the skills he needed to excel in lacrosse later in his career.

After being cut from the Varsity team as a Freshman, Connor’s lacrosse light began to shine during his Sophomore year at Fairfield Prep. He then went on to Avon where he finished his high school career playing football and lacrosse. There he was honored with the prestigious George A. Murray Cup, the best student-athlete in the school, award his senior year.

Connor attributes his tremendous growth as a player during college to his mentors and coaching staff from the University of Maryland. He believes that his individual success stemmed from the team-first culture that was cultivated by head coach John Tillman. As a Freshman and Sophomore, Connor was supported and taught by his older teammates, learning how to succeed at the highest level of competition.

Not only did the Maryland program help him grow as a player, he also learned essential leadership skills throughout his four years.
In the Spring of 2018, Connor was drafted #2 to the Atlanta Blaze.

As a coach, Connor hopes to relay all the knowledge he learned throughout his career to younger generations and help grow the game of lacrosse.

This sport can be so simple yet so complex. I have developed so much knowledge of the game from playing with the best players in the world, and learning from the best coaches. I hope to pass this knowledge on and grow this game.

This summer, players will not only be coached by a pro, but be able play against one as well. Connor Kelly will be traveling around CT to compete against players willing to better their game. The concepts I teach will help dodging techniques, shooting faster & more accurate and overall lacrosse IQ. All of these concepts have been used at all levels, and will help you get a mental edge come game day.

Additionally, at the end of each session– each player will be able to challenge Connor in shooting to get a chance to win gear, gift cards, or tickets to the upcoming PLL season
